We are based out of Auroville, the largest intentional community on the planet, that has been dedicated to sustainable practices for over 50 years. The founding team of Bevolve comprises graduates from Northwestern Kellogg, & Chicago Booth with over 20 years of experience in technology in the USA, UK, and Singapore.
About the Role
We’re not just building software, we’re building a future where businesses are empowered to make a positive impact on the planet & the society. As a Backend Engineer, you’ll play a crucial role in this mission by crafting the robust core of our platform.
Responsibilities
Imagine developing APIs so scalable they can seamlessly handle lot of data, ensuring lightning-fast performance even as user engagement explodes. That’s the exciting challenge you’ll tackle as our Backend Engineer. You’ll leverage your expertise in Node.js and Express.js to design and implement secure, efficient, and scalable APIs that connect with various data sources, process impact data, and power our user-facing platform. You’ll be the silent symphony behind the scenes, ensuring smooth data flow and flawless functionality.
Required Experience
5+ years of experience in Node.js and Express.js.
Strong understanding of RESTful principles.
Proficient in database solutions such as MySQL or PostgreSQL.
Experience with CMS systems like WordPress, Drupal, etc.
Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
Preferred Experience
Knowledge of custom CMS development is considered a valuable asset.
Understanding of security principles and best practices in web development.
Microservices architecture understanding.
Proficient in creating clear and concise technical documentation.
Location
Remote but preference will be given to candidates a) who are based out of Bangalore b) willing to relocate to Auroville
